Holy Ludan is called upon against the extinction of voice.
He was born in Scotland about 1150; he was wire of the Hildbold Lord who left him a considerable fortune, with which he made build for the poor poor and travellers an old people’s home that he equipped richly.
He undertook the pilgrimage of Rome and fell exhausted from tiredness to the foot of a tree, on the road which goes from Colmar to Strasbourg.
He is counted among the owners of Alsace where one venerates him in the Holy Ludan church which one built to place there his relics.
Lord, God of the Armies, which, being invisible with the mortals, condescended to appear to us, fulfill our humble supplication. Condescend, Seigneur, to communicate a virtue with our remainders, so that, whoever will remember us, has share with us with the kingdom of heaven, and that, while waiting, he enjoys the goods of this life; in the same way, if somebody court of the dangers on the sea or a river, and that he calls upon you on our behalf, that he is delivered danger. That so from others fall into the sin and that they resort to You, Seigneur, via our weakness, grant to them the forgiveness of their offenses. Lastly, help, protect all those which will have to remember us and who will glorify you in us.
Holy Ludan, particularly called upon to preserve the voice when it’s necessary for us, request for us.
I prostrate with your feet, Ô my divine Saver, I adore you, rents you, and blessed you, and beseeches you. I you glory, Ô Jesus! Because being the only son of God, the Master of all things, the purity and holiness even, you delivered yourselves to death, and died of the cross, for me, and all the other sinners; in order to deliver our hearts of the bonds of the sin. Amen.
