Holy Marie la Douloureuse
Holy Marie la douloureuse is thus called, because of the unjust sufferings which were inflicted to her by the malignity of the men. She was born in Belgium at the 13th century and, after having spent several years of her life in penitence, it occurred that she was shown of a flight which she hadn’t made and was condemned to death.
She requested while dying the Virgin Mary, her owner, to make burst her innocence and asked her, for those which would call upon her after her death, to be preserved unjust pains, wounds and judgments.
One thus calls upon holy Marie la douloureuse when one wants to make burst his bona fide and to justify calumnies.
Ô God, which don’t cease us showing how much the devotion towards the very Marie Blessed Virgin, Our Mother, is pleasant for you, by the multiplied wonders which his intercession obtains to us, made that, by the merits and the sufferings of the happy Holy Marie la douloureuse, we obtained the favors which she asked for us the Queen of the sky.
We request some from you by NR. – S.J. – C. Amen.
Holy Marie la douloureuse, preserve to us, by your prayers, of all pains, unjust wounds and judgments.
Nature, Ô my God, is so clever to defend his interests; the heart of the man, jealous of his freedom and impatient under the yoke, becomes so skilful to be authorized against you and to justify his revolts, that too a long time and too often I listened to the pretexts of a turned sour spirit, of an animated spirit, a rebellious spirit, and that I followed the movements from there. But it’s necessary finally that he folds; and after the examples that you gave us in your life mortal, it’s more allowed to him to have of another feeling only that of humble and blind man tender: tender in the most annoying reverse and the saddest accidents; tender in the calamities, the needs, the cross-pieces, all miseries of the life; tender in spite of the loathings, risings of heart, the noise and all the returns of passions more the burning sharp and; tender in the middle of deepest darkness, in the middle of the discouragements, of desolations, languors, and without any drop of this celestial dew that you make run, Seigneur, at certain moments and on certain hearts; very pure and very supernatural tender, where nothing human mixes, nothing of what the world can offer to relieve or distract; general tender and supplements, which embraces all the events, whatever they are or can be, and in each event until the lightest characteristics: because such is, my God, the tender that I owe you and of which I then to separate myself without forgetting what you are and what I am; it has for me many difficulties, and I find there in me much obstacles; all that there is the carnal one in my heart files continual oppositions there, and this internal war exposes me to hard attacks; but with your grace, Lord, the reason and the religion will repress my flesh; or if they cannot impose silence to him, in the middle of his cries and without lending the ear to his murmurs, I will not cease repeating this word: « That your will is made, and not mine. » Amen.
