One calls upon Holy Fiacre to obtain the cure of palpitations and to protect harvests.
Holy Fiacre was wire of a king of Scotland. Ignited by the desire to live only for God, he came to French and was withdrawn in a deep forest. But attracting with him other hearts eager to be devoted to God, he founded a convent.
He cured the patients and drove out the demons.
He operated great miracles after his death.
We beg you, very merciful Father, and we entreat you, by Our-Lord Jesus-Christ your Son, and the merits of Holy Fiacre, to approve our prayer so that you like it to grant the grace to us which we await from you.
Holy Fiacre, if powerful to help us in all manners, be favourable and request from us for us.
Ô God, which subject time to changes continual, so that we understand all that there is of eternal and immutable only you, you stop the sun in the triumph of his race, at the moment when he seems to set ablaze the ground of his fires, and bring back it for you flexible and subjected by the same ways that he has just traversed. Decrease, Seigneur, the heat of passions which consume us, refresh by the soft dew of your grace the fire of the bad desires which devour us. Confirm in us although you started there; mature the fruits that you formed there, so that we can give you an abundant harvest of good works. Renewed thus by the faith, the repentance el the love, we will deserve to be fulfilled when we ask you to move away from your children the plagues which would remove the bread of each day to them. Your benefits will excites their recognition, and the fate of your poor will not be worsened, and nothing the substance intended to nourish them will be lost. Amen.
