Holy Foy

Holy Foy

Holy Foy

One calls upon holy Foy against the cardiac disorders.
Holy Foy was one of the first martyrdoms. Denounced to adore God of Saint Paul, she’s sent to roughing-hew, but the flames save her. One then delivered her to the animals, but instead of throwing herself on her and to tear her, the lions came to lick the feet to her. To the sight of these wonders, she was returned to freedom and finishes her days piously by serving God.

INVOCATION
Lamb of God which were slain on the cross and which continue each day your sacrifice on our furnace bridges, have pity of me.
Ô Jésus, victim of love which you are so liberally given to us, has pity of me.
Ô good Jésus  I entreat you by the prayers and the merits of holy Foy, deliver to me faintnesses from which I suffer. Amen.
Holy Foy, which in the skies of elected the privileged place, intercede for me, request for me.

SPEECH
Ô that I must have the humble ones and low thoughts of myself! How I must estimate little what appears of good in me! Ô how I must drop deeply, Seigneur, in front of your impenetrable judgments, where I lose myself as in an abyss, and see that I am not only nothing and pure nothing! Ô weight immense! Ô sea without shores, where I don’t find anything me, where I disappear like nothing in the middle of the whole! Where thus pride hide does? Where confidence in its own virtue? Any vanity dies out in the depth of your judgments on me. What any flesh in front of you? Will clay protest against that which formed it? How that whose heart is really submitted to God could he swell of a vain praise? The whole world could not inspire by pride to that which the truth subjected to his empire; and never him will not be moved by the applause of the men, that of which all the hope is strengthened as a God. Because those which speak are nothing; they will disappear with the noise of their words but the truth of the Lord remains eternally. Amen.
