Holy Felicite was Roman and had seven wires; after the death of her husband, she was devoted very to God and her children whom she raised in the pious practices of the religion.
Summoned to sacrifice to the idols like her children, she refused proclaiming well high her faith as a Jesus-Christ, wire of true God. Her children were also firm in their faith.
The judge condemned them to the torments and one made die the children under the eyes of their mother in the most dreadful torments; Holy Felicite undergoes martyrdom the last, thanking God for having received her sons in his Paradise.
The Christian husbands always were accustomed to calling upon this holy martyrdom to obtain wire when serious reasons make them prefer with girls.
Ô God infinitely good and powerful, which, to multiply your adopted children, wanted to bless the marriage by fruitfulness, fulfill our prayers and grant to us, by the intercession of Holy Felicite of Rome, the son who we wish ardently, so that he is your servant and the heir to our name; we request some from you by NR. – S.J. – C. Holy Felicite of Rome, we entreat you of all our heart to obtain a son by your prayers to us.
Blessed either the Lord God of my fathers, who gives me at present the joy of seeing the son that he granted to me! I offer him to you, O my God! And me here ready to do of him all that you will order. Give him a perfect heart, so that he keeps your precepts, and that he obeys you in all things. My son, has God in your spirit the every day of your life, and take guard not to ever grant the sin. Keep the law of the Lord, and all will make a success of you. That God the Almighty blesses you; that he gives you the blessing which he gave to Abraham, and which all those which bless you are blessed. That the Lord gives you prudence and wisdom, so that you can keep his commands. That God the Father and Jesus-Christ, Wire of the Father, gives you the grace, the mercy and peace in the truth and charity. I recommend to you with God and the word of the grace; I give you all the blessing which a father can give to his son; and I request very-holy Trinité, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, to keep you and to preserve you of any evil, mainly to die in mortal sin; so that after this life we can be together in front of God, and return to him graces and praises without end in his kingdom eternal.
