Holy Dympna

Holy Dympna

Holy Dympna was born in Ireland from pagan parents. She however had happiness to be educated in the Christian religion and left Ireland to flee the fury of her father when he discovered that she was Christian. It’s in Belgium that she entered a monastery; but her father found her and killed her out of his own hands by slicing the head to him.
One recommends very in particular the absent ones to him, and one still requests her for the unhappy ones had.

INVOCATION
Made, Lord, that these prayers that we address to you are accompanied by the intercession of holy Dympna, and that we obtained, by his mediation, the graces which we hope for with confidence of your kindness. We request some from you by NR. – S.J. – C. Amen.
Holy Dympna, soft refuge and protective of absent, take care on them and bring back them healthy and safe among us.

SPEECH
I know, large God, that you sufficient with yourself, and finding in you only all your glory and all your happiness, you need neither my love, neither of my fidelity, nor of my homages. It’s not for you, large God, that you help the hearts which have recourse to you. Eh! What could contribute to your happiness of weak creatures, which are only what you made them; who remain only by you, and who all would fall down in nothing from where drew them to you, if this eye the Almighty which them preserve was going only one moment to be closed on them? But, Lord, you are my God, my refuge, my happiness, my end and my principle; and if you can do without from my prayers and my homages, my needs has a presentiment of me to offer them unceasingly to you. You would not be my God, if the men could be necessary to your glory; but you would not be it either, if being yourself only necessary to their needs, you close your ears with their most touching supplications; and if, after placehaving placed them on the ground, you don’t condescend to interfere yourselves all that looks at them. I will not thus cease saying to you: Lord, you are my God; this adorable name said all: he says, and that you don’t require for the creature, and that you however must yourselves with the creature which loves you, which adores you and which claims you. Amen.
